the "show" is human history; it is over because it has run its course and as a result has laid out all of her lessons (i.e. the "wake up") and consciously evolve from homo sapien sapiens to homo lundens (the playing [as opposed to working] human) or we can consciously ignore the lessons that history has laid before us, which means we will follow the path of destruction that leads to the extinction of our species. We are not doomed to destruction, as Marshal McLuhan said: "there is absolutley no inevitability as long as there is a willingness to contemplate what is happening."
